If you want a few minutes food for thought.. here is a short video of some of the ways a mobile phone can 'help' with teaching and learning.
What does an SMS Survey / Quiz look like on your phone?
If you are coming to the Leaner Technology session on Wednesday and would like to experience the SMS survey tool I will demonstrate from the user perspective.. you can by doing 2 or 3 things below....
1. Send me your mobile phone number. I will save it and delete these from my phone after the session.
2. Send me your email address.. the survey tool I will demonstrate can also be sent to and answered via a student's email account (so if they cannot use a mobile phone... !).
3. Be willing to send an SMS reply.
(I'm afraid, I don't think there is LSC funding to help you with this part of the demonstration.. you may have to fund yourself here :) )
If you do want to 'have a go' at replying during and or after the session, just send me an email with the details.. Name & Mobile No to...
