Hi! The presentation for (262) E-teacher training: didactical principles for devloping e-teacher competences are now available!
@ Jessie & Sara: Interesting presentation on peer mentoring, see some connections to my work on synchronous peer support among distance students. Perhaps we could have a chat about our findings somewhere in the coming days!
I thought that the two sessions were very interesting as much of the limited work I have seen on this kind of thing has been restricted to students' use of wikis for collaborative learning rather than peer support/peer mentoring - I am going to go back and see whether we might adopt something similar as a pilot as we are reviewing induction processes within the Faculty.
Thanks!
peer mentoring: interesting although v small scale - would be interested in a larger study with tutors who have less opportunities for f-t-f contact. Definite;y food for thought though and will take back some of the lessons learned. Thanks
